How Relief IQ works
Relief IQ is a calm guide for people dealing with stressful letters, denials, deadlines, and confusing systems. It is free, and it stays free.
Tell us what happened
Type a few sentences or upload a photo of a letter.
We explain it plainly
What it means, what to do today, and what to avoid.
You take the next step
One trusted phone number to call first. No long menus.
What Relief IQ can help with
- Read a denial letter, court notice, eviction, or benefits letter and explain it in plain English.
- Show you the single most important next step.
- Point you to verified national hotlines (211, 988, 911, NDVH) and trusted government offices.
- Help you prepare for a phone call, hearing, or appointment.
- Save a checklist of documents you'll need.
What Relief IQ cannot do
- Give you legal advice. For that, contact a lawyer or a legal-aid office.
- Give you medical advice or diagnose anything.
- File forms, appeals, or applications on your behalf.
- Guarantee an outcome. We can guide you, not promise approval.
- Replace a real person in a crisis. If you are in danger, call 911. For mental-health crisis, call or text 988.
About the AI behind Relief IQ
Relief IQ uses AI to read documents and write plain-English summaries. AI can be wrong. We will tell you when we are not sure, and we will never invent a phone number, deadline, or agency. If a date is hard to read, we say so. If we cannot help, we tell you who can.
Privacy in plain language
- You do not need an account to use Relief IQ.
- Documents you upload are stored privately and encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Sensitive numbers (like SSN) are masked from the on-screen summary.
- You can delete a file at any time from the case-file page. It is removed from storage.
In an emergency
Call 911 for danger. Call or text 988 for mental-health crisis. Call 211 for housing, food, or general help in your county.
