Terms of Service
Last updated: June 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Relief IQ ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Relief IQ Is
Relief IQ is an artificial-intelligence assistance and navigation platform that helps users discover information about public benefits, community resources, and assistance programs, and that organizes documents, reminders, and action plans.
- Relief IQ is not a government agency.
- Relief IQ is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
- Relief IQ is not a medical provider and does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications.
- Relief IQ is not a financial advisor, tax preparer, insurance broker, or licensed counselor.
- Relief IQ provides informational and assistance-support services only.
3. No Guarantees
Relief IQ does not guarantee eligibility for any government program, benefit, grant, voucher, subsidy, insurance coverage, or assistance, and does not guarantee that any application will be approved or processed in any particular timeframe. Program rules, deadlines, and funding levels are set by the issuing agency or organization and may change without notice.
4. AI-Generated Output
Action plans, recommendations, document summaries, call summaries, and chat responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You agree to independently verify all AI-generated content with the appropriate agency, licensed attorney, or qualified professional before relying on it. You remain solely responsible for any decision, application, submission, or communication you make.
5. Emergency Use Prohibited
Relief IQ is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
6. Consent to SMS Messages
By providing your mobile number, you expressly consent to receive text messages from Relief IQ, including action-plan summaries, reminders, renewal alerts, follow-up messages, and operational notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP and request help by replying HELP. Consent to SMS is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Consent to Phone Calls and AI Call Summaries
By requesting a callback, joining the phone waitlist, or initiating a voice session, you expressly consent to receive phone calls from Relief IQ or its automated voice system, and you consent to having those calls recorded, transcribed, and summarized by artificial intelligence for the purpose of generating notes, action plans, and follow-ups. Call transcripts and AI-generated summaries may be stored in your account and used to improve service quality. Do not share information during a call that you do not want stored.
8. Consent to Document Processing
When you upload a document (for example to the Document Vault or as part of a case file), you consent to Relief IQ storing, scanning, parsing, and analyzing the document using artificial intelligence and automated systems to extract deadlines, categorize information, and generate plain-language summaries. You represent that you have the right to upload each document. AI extractions may be inaccurate; you remain responsible for verifying any deadline, dollar amount, or instruction.
9. Family Access & Caregiver Permissions
Relief IQ allows you to invite family members, caregivers, or trusted helpers and to grant them permission levels (view-only, helper, or manager). You are solely responsible for who you invite, what permissions you grant, and for revoking access when it is no longer appropriate. Invited users may be able to view your case data, documents, plans, and reminders depending on the permission you assign. Relief IQ cannot verify the identity or trustworthiness of anyone you invite.
10. Document Vault — Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the documents you upload and for the accuracy of any information they contain. Do not upload documents you do not have the right to share. Relief IQ is not a system of record for legal, medical, or government filings; always retain original copies and submit official documents directly to the issuing agency.
11. HIPAA Notice
Relief IQ is not a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate, and the Service is not currently operated as a HIPAA-compliant platform. Any health, hospital, medication, disability, or insurance information you choose to provide is not protected by HIPAA. This notice remains in effect unless and until Relief IQ is formally built and operated as a HIPAA-compliant service.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to impersonate another person or submit false information.
- Upload malicious files, illegal content, or content you do not have the right to share.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
- Use the Service in connection with any emergency, life-safety, or time-critical medical decision.
13. Third-Party Links and Programs
Relief IQ surfaces links to government agencies, nonprofits, and other third-party organizations. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, availability, eligibility decisions, or practices of those third parties.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relief IQ, its operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of benefits, denial of an application, missed deadline, denial of coverage, medical outcome, legal outcome, lost profits, lost data, or emotional distress arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Relief IQ in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Relief IQ from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) information you submit to the Service, (b) your reliance on AI-generated content, (c) your invitations and permissions granted to family members or caregivers, or (d) your violation of these Terms or any law.
17. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account data as described in the Privacy Policy.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by providing in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Relief IQ is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of that jurisdiction, except where prohibited by law.
